Good Foods
Grocery Expansion
Project Highlights
Mark Turner Construction completed the Good Foods Grocery Expansion in January 2021. This project expanded the existing 7,316 sf store into 2,100 sf of adjacent retail space. The expansion space was gutted and all new electrical, plumbing, ductwork, and finishes were installed. Structural steel, electrical, and plumbing were installed on the roof to support new refrigeration equipment throughout the store. Once the expansion space was complete, the wall dividing new and old was carefully removed to minimize dust and the transition between new and old blended. Work in the existing space then commenced. This included new electrical and underslab drains for updated refrigeration equipment, new LED lighting, and new paint and finishes.
Mark Turner also worked very closely with the store owner and manager to ensure their work in installing new equipment and rearranging shelving was coordinated with needs for new electrical, plumbing, and finishes at those locations. This required night and weekend work, as necessary, to ensure store operations were not impacted and shoppers could continue to visit the store safely.
